The monastery of Poblet is the largest inhabited Cistercian monastery in Europe. It was declared a World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1991. Poblet is an essential reference within the history of the Kingdom of Aragon. With the return of the monks to Poblet in 1940, an ambitious restoration and conservation process was started, which has restored to the monastery the majesty it deserves. They make up the old cloisters. The monastery of Poblet is the largest inhabited Cistercian monastery in Europe.
The visit includes the monumental part of the monastery, with the possibility of also visiting the museum and the interpretation center, with the audiovisual. You will find the interpretation center right opposite the store where you need to buy tickets. The museum is located inside the monastery.

Visit information:
- The visit is done via an App, downloadable for free on the mobile phone in the App Store or in the Play Store: “Poblet, official guide”.
- The use of headphones is mandatory.
- There are no guided tours, but if you would like a guided tour you can hire a guide service.
- There is also a tour with an audio guide for children.
- All discounts must be credited.
- Animals are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.
- On January 1st and 6th and December 25th and 26th, no visits all day.
- On March 28 (Maundy Thursday), March 28 (Good Friday) and April 1 (Easter Monday) 2024, no afternoon visits.
