We are the heirs of the lineage started in the 14th century by Bernat Figueras, from which there is documentation attesting to his presence in the Lordship of Selma and the Valls de Marmellar in that distant century.

Since then and in an uninterrupted manner, the Figueras family has lived and loved this land, turning Heretat into a prosperous estate dedicated primarily to the cultivation of the vine.

Located in el Pla de Manlleu, (Aiguamúrcia, Tarragona) the Penedès 500 team was born as a branch from the vine planted, now 8 years ago, with the creation of the Farmers' Association of Pla de Manlleu. This legal entity brings together around thirty winegrowers from the DO Penedès, with the peculiarity of all having vineyards above 500 meters above sea level. In this way, the geographical scope of the Group is what is called the +500 Zone, which includes land from three municipalities and two Regional Councils: Aiguamúrcia and Querol (Alt Camp) and la Joncosa del Montmell (Baix Penedès).

TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES FOR THE HARVEST

We will meet at Km 0 of Penedès +500, Masia Cal Figueras, where we will introduce you to this exciting world while enjoying a welcome glass of cava.

Together with the Penedès 500 team, we will walk among organic vineyards and other emblematic places. During the tour you will learn the secrets of the viticulture of the area at the same time that we will harvest the grapes of different varieties.

We will return to Masia Cal Figueras, and now we will take off our shoes!

We will step on the grape harvest that we will have made in an oak barrel and to the rhythm of the music we will see the must flow. It will be fun and educational to do the comparative tasting between our wines and the musts you have made. To completely satisfy all the senses we will pair the tasting with local products.

We will finish the wine experience by bottling your must, with the possibility of making your own personalized label.

GASTRONOMIC ROUTE

We will find it at Km0 of Penedès +500, Masia Cal Figueras, where we will welcome you with a welcome glass of cava and give you a brief introduction to the project and the Tour.

With the help of the Penedès 500 team, we will visit vineyards of different varieties: Parellada, Garnatxa, Moscatel, Tempranillo, Merlot, etc... while taking a walking tour between vineyards and forests, and enjoying this wonderful environment.

In the vineyards we will hold a viticulture workshop depending on the time of year, where we will explain the qualities and differences between them, all the ecological work we do there, and everything you want to know!

And what's more, at the foot of the vineyard we will fill a glass with the wine that comes from its grapes, paired with local cheeses and cold meats, farmer's bread and olive oil from the farm. We will finish the route at Km0 where we will visit the old winery, and taste another surprise wine!!

VISIT TO THE +500 AREA WITH PAELLA BETWEEN VINEYARDS

The welcome and reception will be from the Grandfather's family. In the new stands of the old winery we will make a historical approach to the winery, the family and the environment (the abandoned town of Selma, the Templars, the Cistercian route, the monastery...) all accompanied by a glass of our sparkling Códols .

We will then take a walk through the vineyards where we will explain the ecological and sustainable tasks we carry out according to the season and enjoy the wonderful landscape that surrounds them.

We will return to the cellar-museum to discover its corners with the historical tools on display, to end up finding in one of its corners another good wine to taste, the Nou de +500 and the Bermell, accompanied by a table of Km0 cold cuts and surrounded of Grandpa's old boots. Then we will go outside, to enjoy a lunch with the unbeatable company of nature and where the main course will be a delicious paella.

A great way to have a unique experience in the +500 Zone!!

VISIT TO GRANDFATHER'S CELLAR

The welcome and reception will be from the Grandfather's family. In the new stands of the old winery we will make a historical approach to the winery, the family and the environment (the abandoned town of Selma, the Templars, the Cistercian route, the monastery...) all accompanied by a glass of our sparkling Códols .

Then we will take a walk through the vineyards where we will explain the ecological and sustainable tasks we carry out according to the season and we will enjoy the wonderful landscape that surrounds them, while drinking Vermell wine with a table of cold cuts from the +500 Zone between the vines

We will return to the cellar-museum to discover its corners with the historical tools on display, to end up finding in one of its corners another good wine to taste, the Nou de +500, this time accompanied by a cheese board and surrounded by the boots Anitgues de l'Avi.

SELMA, UNDER THE FULL MOON

The magic of the abandoned town of Selma, one of the highest points of "Alt Penedès", illuminated by the light of the full moon will be the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the freshness of the nights summer

We meet at Masia Cal Figueras, km0 of the +500 Zone, where we will give a brief explanation of the wine experience.

We will walk to the centenary Oak where we will offer you a peasant dinner with a tasting of our wines (bread from the village with tomato, Km0 sausages, olive oil from the house). While having dinner we will tell you curiosities of the area.

With a full stomach we will start the route towards Selma (about 6.5 km round trip), we will pass by the area of ​​"Les planjoles" while seeing the stone cabins. We will continue climbing towards Selma explaining legends and curiosities of the Templars of the +500 Zone.

Arriving in Selma we will serve Códols cava with coca from the village oven and settle in a privileged place to enjoy the fantastic panoramic views of the night sky.

DISCONNECT AND GALLOP!

We will meet at the Cal Figueras farmhouse, Km0 of the +500 Zone, where we will have a short briefing on the activity and we will meet the horse that will touch us for a one-hour tour through vineyards and forests in the +500 Zone . Half way through the vineyards we will fill a glass of our red wine "Bermell" paired with a cheese board to gain energy and continue with the route back to Masia Cal Figueras. At Km0 we can complete the horse's adrenaline by filling two more cups! One of our white wine El Nou de +500, and the other of our sparkling Códols, also paired with local products of the time.
