The Nougat and Chocolate Fair in La Pedra began in 1988 when a market dedicated to nougat was organized on the initiative of the Foment Pro-Mercat d'Agramunt i Comarca. The good reception of the initiative encouraged the organizers to open their participation to other sectors and on October 12 of the following year the first Nougat and Chocolate Fair in La Pedra was held. Since then the fair has evolved and is currently a point of reference within the Terres de Lleida trade fair calendar.
