The dance of the forks is a traditional dance of the town of Nalec (Urgell, Catalonia) that Joan Amades collects in the "Costumari Català" in 1953. Of this dance, very traditional in all the valley of the river Corb, it has record in Nalec, Santa Coloma de Queralt or Vallfogona de Riucorb. The dancers, dressed in traditional reaper clothes, a straw hat and a gallows each, dance around a pile of straw with the tone of the Ball de Sant Ferriol and in essence, aims to bring everyone together in a circle, pinching and praising the joint work. Joan Amades recalls that "because these days were partying in honor of the saint, their work could be delayed a little, and then having difficulty cleaning the grain in the age due to lack of wind. It was at those moments that they danced typical dance of the gallows, a dance characteristic of this time of year. "
